Bison dealt loss by Franciscan, 7-2

BETHANY, W.Va. (April 5) - The Bison were defeated 7-2 by Franciscan in the team's home opener Wednesday.

The Bethany College men's tennis team drops to 2-3 this season, while the Barons improve to 5-8 overall.

The two Bison wins came during singles play, after Franciscan took all three doubles positions. Sophomore Drake Berlin (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington) took No. 2 singles in straight-sets (6-4, 6-3), while sophomore Jay O'Donnell (Cardiff, Wales/Radyr Comprehensive) claimed his first win of the season with a three-set win at No. 6 singles (4-6, 6-4, 6-3).

The Bison are back on their home court tomorrow, Thursday, Aptil 6 when they host Pitt.-Greensburg at 4 p.m.
