Four Bison Named All-America Scholar-Athletes
Louisville, Ky. - Over 8,000 student-athletes (8,161), a first in NFCA history, were named 2019 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, the Association announced in October. The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division III led the way with 1,928 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2018-19. NCAA Division I and Division II followed with 1,769 and 1,306 honorees. High School weighted and High School unweighted earned 1,225 and 793 distinctions. NAIA and two-year programs each amassed 570 recipients.

Oberthur Earns All-PAC First Team Honors
Freshman catcher Jennifer Oberthur was selected to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) First Team, which was announced Wednesday morning. Ballots for the all-conference teams and annual award winners were voted on by the PAC's head coaches.

Softball Drops Two Against Saint Vincent
The Bethany College softball team took on the Saint Vincent Bearcats in a PAC doubleheader on Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats swept the Bison. The green and white conclude their 2019 season 10-22 (7-9 PAC).

The Bethany College softball team took on the Waynesburg Yellowjackets in a PAC doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The Bison swept the Yellowjackets. Prior to game two, Bethany honored their three seniors for their contributions to the program over their careers.

The Bethany College softball team took on the Franciscan Barons in a non-conference doubleheader on Monday afternoon. The Bison and Barons split on the day. The green and white took game one 1-0 and dropped game two to the Barons 11-2 in six innings.
